Notebook tab switching shortcuts issue

what is your opinion about bug
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=737547 ? It seems that
alt+1...alt+5 overlaps with some other required shortcuts, at least on
MacOSX. Is it possible that this issue affects also other platforms?
On MacOSX I can move alt+1...alt+9 to cmd+1...cmd+9 which are at the moment
not used. Would be that OK?
